Dhp18-238 : 티끌을 날려버리고 허물이 없으면, 태어남과 늙음에 다시 떨어지지 않으리.

[Dhp18-238]

So karohi dīpam attano khippaṃ vāyama paṇḍito bhava,

소  까로히   디빰  앗따노     킵빵     와야마   빤디또   바와

niddhantamalo anaṇgaṇo na punaṃ jātijaraṃ upehisi.

    닛단따말로    아낭간오  나    뿌낭   자띠자랑 우뻬히시

 

▣ 자신의 의지처를 만들라. 얼른 정진하여 지혜로워지거라. 더러움이 제거되고 흠이 사라져 다시는

    태어남과 늙음에 이르지 않을 것이다.

▣ 그대는 자신을 섬으로 만들어라. 서둘러 정진하여 현명한 님이 되라. 티끌을 날려버리고 허물이 없으면,

    태어남과 늙음에 다시 떨어지지 않으리.

▣ Make thyself an island, work hard, be wise! When thy impurities are blown away,

    and thou art free from guilt, thou wilt not enter again into birth and decay.
