Dhp14-196 : 평온하고 어디에도 두려움이 없는 그런 분들을 공양하는 이들의 공덕을

[Dhp14-196]

te tādise pūjayato nibbute akutobhaye

떼 따디세 뿌자야또  닙부떼   아꾸또바예

na sakkā puññaṃ saṇkhātaṃ im'ettam api kenaci.

나   삭까     뿐냥        상카뚱     이멧땀  아삐 께나찌

 

▣ [욕망을 여의어] 평온하고 어디에도 두려움이 없는 그런 분들을 공양하는 이들의 공덕을 누구도 얼마만

    하다고 헤아릴 수 없다.   

▣ 열반에 드신 님들, 두려움을 여읜 님들 그러한 님들을 공양하는 자의 공덕을 두고 누군가가 ‘이만하다’

    라고 조금이라도 헤아리는 것이 불가능하다.

▣ He who pays homage to those who deserve homage, whether the awakened (Buddha) or

    their disciples, those who have overcome the host (of evils), and crossed the flood of

    sorrow, he who pays homage to such as have found deliverance and know no fear,

    his merit can never be measured by anybody.
