dhīrañ ca paññañ ca bahussutāñ ca dhorayhasīlaṃ vatavantam ariyaṃ

  디란  짜    빤냔   짜    바후쑤딴   짜   도라이하실랑      와따완땀   아리양

taṃ tādisaṃ sappurisaṃ sumedhaṃ bhajetha nakkhattapathaṃ va candimā.

  땅   따디상     삽뿌리상       수메당      바제타       낙캇따빠탕       와    짠디마

▣ 굳건하고 지혜로우며 학식이 있고, 인내심이 강하고 독실하며 성스러운, 그런 참되고 현명한 사람을

    따라야 한다.  마치 달이 천체의 궤도를 따르듯.

▣ 견고하고 지혜롭고 많이 배우고 인내의 덕을 지니고 성실한 고귀한 님을 따르라. 마치 달이 뭇별의 길을

    따르듯. 이와 같은 현명한 참사람을 따르라.

▣ Therefore, one ought to follow the wise, the intelligent, the learned, the much enduring, the dutiful,

    the elect; one ought to follow a good and wise man, as the moon follows the path of the stars.
