Dhp9-128 : 죽음이 닥치지 않는 곳은 공중에도 바다 한 가운데도 없고

[Dhp9-128]

na antaalikkhe na samuddamajjhe na pabbatānam vivaram pavissa

나  안딸알릭케  나      사뭇다맛제    나     빱바따낭     위와랑   빠위싸

na vijjatī so jagatippadeso yatthaṭṭhitaṃ na-ppasahetha maccu.

나 윗자띠 소  자가띱빠데소       얏탓티땅         납빠사헤타     맛쭈

 

▣ 공중에도 바다 한가운데에도 산의 굴에 들어가도  죽음이 정복할 수 없는 곳,

    이 세상에 그런 곳은 존재하지 않는다.

▣ 죽음이 닥치지 않는 곳은 공중에도 바다 한 가운데도 없고 산의 협곡으로 들어가도 없으니

    이 세상의 어느 곳에도 없다.

▣ Not in the sky, not in the midst of the sea, not if we enter into the clefts of the mountains,

    is there known a spot in the whole world where death could not overcome (the mortal).
