yamhi saccañ ca dhammo ca ahiṃsā saññamo damo

얌히 삿짠 짜 담모 짜 아힘사 상야모 다모

sa ve vantamalo dhīro thero ti pavuccati.

사 웨 완따말로 디로 테로 띠 빠웃짜띠

▣ 진실과 진리, 불살생과 절제, 그리고 자제심이 있는 이, 굳건하고 더러움을 버린 그는 참으로 장로(長老)

라고 불린다.

▣ 진리 그리고 원리와 불살생과 제어와 수련을 갖추고 티끌을 떨쳐낸 현명한 님, 그를 장로(長老)라고

부른다.

▣ He in whom there is truth, virtue, love, restraint, moderation, he who is free from impurity

and is wise, he is called an elder.
