Dhp13-178 : 전 세계를 지배하는 것보다 진리의 흐름에 든 것이 탁월하다.

[Dhp13-178]

Pathavyā ekarajjena saggassa gamanena vā               

 빠타비아 에까랏제나    삭가싸    가마네나   와

sabbalokādhipaccena sotāpattiphalaṃ varaṃ.

    삽발로까디빳쩨나       소따빳띠팔랑    와랑

 

▣ 지상의 유일한 왕권보다, 천상으로 가는 것보다, 또는 전 세계의 통치권보다 진리의 흐름에 든 것의

   결과가 최고다.

▣ 지상에서의 유일한 왕권보다 천상계로 가는 것보다 전 세계를 지배하는 것보다 진리의 흐름에 든 것이

    탁월하다.

▣ Better than sovereignty over the earth, better than going to heaven, better than lordship

    over all worlds, is the reward of the first step in holiness.
