Dhp26-387 : 태양은 낮에 빛나고 달은 밤에 빛난다.

[Dhp26-387]

divā tapati ādicco, rattiṃ ābhāti candimā,

디와 따빠띠 아딧쪼 랏띵 아바띠 짠디마

sannaddho khattiyo tapati, jhāyī tapati brāhmaṇo

산낟도 캍띠요 따빠띠 자이 따빠띠 브라흐마노

atha sabbam ahorattiṃ Buddho tapati tejasā.

아타 삽밤 아호랏띵 붓도 따빠띠 떼자사

▣ 태양은 낮에 빛나고, 달은 밤에 빛난다. 무사는 무장하여 빛나고, 브라흐만은 명상하여 빛난다.

그러나 붓다는 모든 낮과 밤에 광명으로 빛난다.

▣ 태양은 낮에 빛나고 달은 밤에 빛난다. 전사는 무장하여 빛나고 바라문은 선정으로 빛난다.

그런데 깨달은 님은 일체의 밤낮으로 빛난다.

▣ The sun is bright by day, the moon shines by night, the warrior is bright in his armour,

the Brahmana is bright in his meditation; but Buddha, the Awakened, is bright with splendour

day and night.
